Good Judgment May Be the Last Frontier

Understanding is becoming optional as skills get folded into AI models and harnesses; good judgment may be the last frontier — for a while, at least.

Little Bits Reflections Artificial Intelligence

For a while now, we’ve been able to create things with AI. But until recently, good results still took skill and understanding.

Those skills keep getting folded back into the models and harnesses themselves. Understanding is becoming optional. I think that’s a good thing.

Good judgment may be the last frontier, and I doubt it will stay one for long.

Which makes me wonder if this moment, where we get to enjoy creating with AI and figure out how, is a fleeting one.

Maybe the years before the singularity will be remembered less for what we built than for how briefly building mattered.
